Sutherland HDL eTutored™ live Online Workshop Details

Sutherland HDL eTutored™ live online workshops are instructor-led workshops that provide all the same learning benefits as classroom based training, but with greater flexibility to mix expert training and work responsibilities.

Overview

• Engineers log on to an online Webinar meeting for 4 hours each day (audio is handled using VoIP through the computer).
• An expert instructor with real experience using SystemVerilog presents vital concepts on the proper usage of SystemVerilog.
• eTutored™ live online workshops use the same professional materials, lecture and labs as on-site workshops.
• Following the lecture block, each student works independently to complete 1 to 2 hours of lab projects anytime during the afternoon. The Sutherland HDL instructor is available by phone, e-mail or Skype to assist with the labs. The hours of availability will be announced by the instructor.
• Lab projects are submitted prior to the next class day to the Sutherland HDL expert instructor for review and recommendations on best coding practices.
• Private eTutored™ live online workshops are scheduled just for your company's employees. Private workshops can be scheduled for dates and times that are most effective for your engineering team. There is a low 4 student minimum for private eTutored™ live workshops. Request training.
• Public eTutored™ live online workshops are scheduled periodically throughout the year, and may be attended by engineers from multiple companies. The Web meeting class times for public eTutored™ live workshops are typically from 8 AM to noon Pacific time. Engineers can complete the labs anytime during the afternoon (Pacific time). Requirements

• Access to a SystemVerilog simulator in order to complete the lab projects. Sutherland HDL does not provide simulation tools for eTutored™ courses.
• A computer (Windows, Mac, Linux, or Solaris).
• Highspeed Internet connection (cable modem, DSL, or better).
• A USB computer headset with microphone (computer speakers and microphone will work, but are noisier).
• A WebCam (optional). The instructor will be on a WebCam. Most participants find it helpful to be able to see each other during class discussions.
• A quiet place to listen and participate in class discussions.
